]]> i was the lead singer in Vehicle a horn band from ontario Canada, we recorded one album self titled on Quality records and had a hit called Mr. Love. i also went on to form my own band called the Instructions which won a juno in 1982 for my self titled album the Instructions, which received critical acclaim and substantial FM air play around the world. you can find some of these songs on youtube or you can purchase some of the product here on dad-d-o.com.

warm gentle hand

tall pine erect

like some stoic palace guard, ever watchful

its branches the arms of some kind father

the home of resting birds and maddened squirrels

Otter like glass, reflecting the laughter of a thousand children who have bathed there

chipmunks scurry on the soft bronze forest floor

sunlight gentley falls in shadowed pockets

a loon pensively cries its mystic tune

still

… the world turns and churns, but you would not know it here

in this magical place
