during the middle ages when the churchs’ power was at its zenith, secret forms of communication were required to prevent those uninitiated from comprehending the true mission. the church had one dogma and it was cannon law, any alternative thought or discourse was considered herasy. over three million people were persecuted and some slaughtered and tortured during the Roman Catholic reign of terror known as the Inquisition, which sought to root out any form of heresy, from the traditional teachings of the church.
the atrocities committed by man against his brother in the name of God have continued as a dark stain on the history of mankind right up to this very moment. it is truly unfortunate since all religions and their original texts appear to have very similiar doctrine and perhaps even, source. the divine source some call God. only man is capable of distorting these messages of love into the maddness of death in the name of God.
